Somehow she won a pair of tickets to the Beanpot Championship game (and consolation game for us Northeastern Huskies) for Monday night, so she invited me up for the night to see Northeastern beat Harvard for 3rd place, and BU beat BC for the Beanpot 2012 title! Go Terriers AND Huskies?
rooting for both Northeastern and bu is definitely not okay
If I could crochet, Ryley would have an army of these Ewoks.
ahhh
I will never forgive myself for not listening to my friend Katie two years earlier when she told me about this show. I insisted that Phish was stupid and I was not interested in her boring awful hippie music. I judged this based on never having listened to them which was foolish and dumb because a year ago this month I finally caved and made another friend tell me what albums were least boring. Listened to them, loved them. Ignored him telling me that live shows really were much better and that was the whole point of the band. Fast forward to now and I’ve seen them twice (in Mansfield and MSG) and have 820 songs in my iTunes library, including this Fenway show.
Yeah, I could hear much of it from my dorm which was practically next to a dorm that offers views of the interior of Fenway Park. But that doesn’t count and I am sad.

Northeastern Women’s Hockey takes home the Beanpot title after defeating the boston university Terriers in OT! Such an great game to watch!
I really hate overtime but YESSSS. For once (twice in one weekend, thanks one shoe OT) things went our way and I am so happy and proud of the team, I got some great pictures and seeing them look so happy is an amazing feeling. I still feel awful about the last two days but after tonight at least I can smile again :)
With 14 Women’s Beanpot championships, no school has won as many Beanpots as Northeastern. — (via sorhwa)

Abitur - Boston - College: Northeastern Students warned to stay indoors Sunday or face arrest. -
Does anyone else think this is going a bit too far? I understand that they want us to be safe, but what gives them the right to arrest us if we, as adults, choose to stay outside at our own risk and celebrate the superbowl peacefully?
Northeastern has sent out emails reminding students to behave for at least every championship a Boston team has been in since I arrived in 06-07 and, I think, the 2010 election. This is by far the most ridiculous. Even the last Super Bowl wasn’t like this. If there had been any incidents whatsoever I would understand. But this is going too far. Nobody has caused significant, newsworthy trouble. The BPD, because Boston has been so awesome at sports lately, has gotten extremely good at controlling the population for this type of thing. After the 2007 World Series, I along with many others went to Fenway Park. People climbed poles and traffic lights and I’m sure some damage was caused, but riot police with shields and on horses came quickly and everyone calmly dispersed. Half an hour after I got back to my dorm I tried to go back out, down Hemenway, with a friend to take pictures, and we didn’t even get to Westland before being turned back. It wasn’t even crowded. After the Stanley Cup last year, I didn’t go to the TD Garden, but the only significant gathering I saw was maybe 50 people going into the reflecting pool by the Pru. There were a few cops nearby who just chuckled and commented to my friends and I about how foolish that was, given how disgusting the water was. They didn’t have to do anything because NOBODY WAS CAUSING TROUBLE. Nobody was rioting, everyone was happy and excited and just wanted to hug and high five each other. Boston isn’t Vancouver and although I’m an alumni and this doesn’t apply to me anymore, I’m pretty offended that Northeastern seems to think it is.
